Hello everyone,
Tonight I am going to write my first blog ,please be nice with me... Only one month ago my boyfriend Eddie asked me if i want to marry him. It was one of the best days of my life. I already knew he was going to propose to me , but i didn't knew when. I was in shock because It was happening to me and I couldn't believe it . He, was very nervous and very happy at the same time . Everything happened so fast but I couldn't speak or do anything when I saw him on one knee asking me the big question. He looked at me and told me that I was everything to him and he can't imagine his life without me. He said that If, I officially say YES he will make me happy for the rest of my life and I will be his princess for ever and ever. So I started crying and said YES just one time but very firm and strong. He stand up and hug me for a long time. After that we went to a restaurant and had a great time there. After that I had a test so I went back to the University.
Later that night I called my parents and told them about the great news. I first spoke to my dad and he told me he already knew because my Eddie asked him and my brother first If they approved him to be my husband. So he said : " I love you my dear daughter and you are my little one so its not going to be easy for me and your mother to give you away but its the natural thing to do. We are very happy for the two of you and you have all our support and blessing"... After that I said to myself , ok, Its official you are engaged and you have a lot to do for the big day. We immediately decided a date and started planning everything. I wanted to get married the same day my sister did.(December 14) He told me :"everything you want its ok with me babe" (aww), so I told my parents the date and also my friends and we seek the perfect hotel and went there to see the prices. When we got there we love it but there was a problem, the date I wanted was already taken, we had to look for another place. Then we went to the church and separated the date with the priest. At the end we found a nice place that is called " Ocean Villa" at Rincon and we decided that the wedding reception was going to be there.
Now , I am in college and I have to make the perfect wedding ,at the same time. Its not easy to be engaged and plan a whole wedding , not even when the groom to be, its participating in every detail of the event. Like I said , I only got engaged one month ago, but it has been hard for both of us because, it takes time and a lot of money. But even though it is hard and not easy , at the same time I love it and so does he. I love the fact that we are getting married soon. I love that I am his fiance and he is completely in love with me after 6 years of relationship and college. And of course I love my ring , Its just perfect to me the way it is. I show off the ring every time I see someone close to me and my first thing to say is " I'M GETTING MARRIED" .
All in all being engaged its the best thing that could happen to us as a couple and as a person. Because now everything we do , we do it thinking in our future and we are more in love than ever. So my advice to the ones that are thinking in getting engaged is to do It no matter what. Its the best thing ever, to those who are in love and ready to go to the next level. Its something you feel and not something you can plan on , trust me , It just happens.
